March 2008 Wired magazine reports on $4M in grant money available for the study of alternative treatments for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - "Army's New PTSD Treatments: Yoga, Reiki, 'Bioenergy'" and mentions the Transcendental Meditation technique as one possible solution.
February 2008 A report aimed at governmental and military leaders "55 Trends Now Shaping the Future of Terrorism," includes sections by Dr. David Leffler on Invincible Defense Technology, including "An Overlooked, Proven Solution to Terrorism." January 2008 The Internet's first Square Root of One Percent Calculator is deployed on Dr. David and Lee Leffler's Invincible Defense Technology Command Center. This tool calculates the minimum number of IDT experts that are needed in large groups in a country to make it invincible. Try it.
December 2007 Lokvani E-Magazine, a bi-weekly "Public Voice" online magazine aimed at the Indian community in New England, USA, published "A New Year's Resolution: Create World Peace through Vedic Defense" by Lee and David Leffler.
November 2007 Bolivia, Trinidad, Columbia, Peru, and the Netherlands all have enough practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Program in large groups to get the "Maharishi Effect." November 2007 Dr. David Leffler, who has the world's first Ph.D. in Consciousness-based Defence (IDT), launched Dr. David Leffler's Invincible Defense Technology News. This online magazine, available by free email subscription, provides updates on how Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) is being accepted world-wide. August 2007

An English translation of White Paper On the New Security and Defence Policy of the Federal Republic of Germany and on the Future of the Bundeswehr is posted online. This groundbreaking 1995 White Paper, authored by Lieutenant Colonel Gunter Chassé (Ret'd), explains why Germany should implement Invincible Defence Technology.

July 2007 Military.com published an op-ed by Dr. David Leffler called Meditation Could Help VA. Dr. Leffler explains how the Veterans Administration could save money and better serve its patients with post-traumatic stress disorder by prescribing the Transcendental Meditation technique.
June 2007 The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) printed an article called Promise for PTSD in Military Officer Magazine. The article covers alternative therapies for post-traumatic stress disorder including the Transcendental Meditation technique.
May 2007 US Army War College research paper on Invincible Defense Technology entitled, "The Application of Strategic Stress Management in Winning the Peace" is completed by Colonel (Dr.) Brian M. Rees, Medical Corps, US Army Reserve. (English, Spanish)
March 2007 IndiaDefence publishes an article called Counter Insurgency: Vedic Security Strategy for India? by Major General Kulwant Singh, Ph.D. and David R. Leffler, Ph.D. The article calls for India to use Invincible Defense Technology to end counter insurgency.
February 2007 Connecticut composer Donald Sosin wrote an Opinion/Editorial piece for the Litchfield County Times called Meditating for Peace in Iraq. He suggested a solution to the war in Iraq: large groups of Invincible Defence Technology experts.
October 2006 Holland Achieves Invincibility: 400 yogic flyers in Holland practice the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program daily in a large group. This fulfilled the requirements for the the Netherlands (population approximately 16,570,000) to become invincible. (16,570,000 X 0.01 = 165,700. The square root of 165,700 is 407)

September 2006 Roger Nelson at Princeton University observes that a network of 50 random generators, located throughout the world, became less chaotic during the meeting of a large group of Invincible Defence Technology (IDT) experts. Details.

July 2005 Dr. David R. Leffler gave a presentation to Veterans of the American Merchant Marines on a scientific method for ending the war in Iraq at a June 28 meeting in Newburgh NY. This was at the monthly luncheon of the Gene de-Long-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Merchant Marine Veterans. An article about the presentation appeared in The Sentinel, the official newspaper of Orange County, New York.
June 2005 New book: Victory Before War by Robert Keith Wallace, Ph.D. and Jay B. Marcus. This book describes the world’s most ancient and complete homeland defense. April 2005 An article and editorial supporting the use of Ecstasy to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) appeared in March, 2005 editions of the Military Times magazines. Psychiatrist James L. Fleming, M.D. and brain researcher Kenneth G. Walton, Ph.D. wrote a letter that was published in the 4 April 2005 issue of the Navy Times. The subject was how the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program is a proven and effective treatment Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). June 2004 Dr. Hagelin Speaks to Danish Peace Conference Attended by Minister of Defense -- Article by Jim Karpen in The Review, June 14, 2004. The Danish Minister of Defence, Søren Gade recently attended a peace conference where quantum physicist Dr. John Hagelin and film maker David Lynch spoke about using Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) in Denmark. Regarding the use of IDT to create peace, Defense Minister Gade said, "We share the same goal: Peace and security. There are many ways of achieving peace, I believe that the Peace Keepers of the United Nations is a good way of doing this, but it is important to discuss other methods of achieving peace."
March 2004 Rebuttal of "Evaluating Heterodox Theories" -- Dr. David Orme-Johnson, a prominent scientist at the Institute of Science Technology and Public Policy, critiques a paper by Evan Fales and Barry Markovsky that is critical of research conducted on the Maharishi Effect.

Rand Think Tank Data Shows 72% Reduction in International Terrorism -- Press release from MUM explains a terrorism reduction while large groups of meditators were assembled. The data is from Rand Corporation, a highly-respected think tank. The results were published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Offender Rehabilitation.

September 2003 Best option: Meditation may bring Iraqi peace -- Op ed piece in the Des Moines Register by Dr. John Hagelin. We have options to create stability in Iraq besides "bring the troops home" or "send reinforcements" -- how about "form peace-creating groups."
June 2003 U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) is a Candidate for the Democratic Presidential Nomination in 2004 -- Kucinich supports providing governmental support for the establishment of groups of peace-creating experts in the U.S. He also would like to create a Cabinet-level U.S. Department of Peace.
May 2003 Do We Need a ‘Scientific Revolution’ in Order to Create World Peace? Article by Jonathan Rowson, published in the May 2003 issue of Damocles--The Newsletter of Peace, War, and Human Nature published at Harvard University, argues that the idea of Invincible Defense Technology influencing collective consciousness to create peace "has at least some scientific plausibility and should be given more attention."
